Michael Enz (Virginia Tech)

Micheal Enz, Ph.D. is the Director of Professional Development in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. In this role, he helps faculty from across the university improve their learner-centred instruction. Prior to this role, he spent 25 years teaching economics at six colleges and universities. Michael has won teaching awards from the university of Oregon, Framlingham State University, and Cengage’s Best in Class Teaching Award. His research focuses on using the science of learning and course design to improve learner-centered instruction.

Dimitra Petropoulou (London School of Economics and Political Science)

Dimitra Petropoulou is a Professor (Education) in the LSE Department of Economics, where she is also Deputy Head of Department (Education). Dimitra has extensive experience in department-level educational enhancements, including training and mentoring of economics educators and curriculum design and innovation. She also leads the Conferences and Symposia group of the Economics Network and is a CTaLE Associate.

Ralf Becker (The University of Manchester)

Ralf Becker is an Econometrician with experience in time-series modelling and forecasting. He is passionate about teaching economics and in particular quantitative skills (mathematics, statistics and econometrics). He has a particular focus on helping students to develop relevant quantitative skills like programming in R, Python or MATLAB.

Anoshua Chaudhuri (San Francisco State University)

Dr. Chaudhuri is the Senior Director of CEETL at San Francisco State University. Prior to this position, she was a full professor and department chair in the Economics department at SF State. She received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Washington, Seattle, and an M.A. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. Dr. Chaudhuri’s research has been at the intersection of health, development, and family economics, evaluating the impacts of policies and programs on community and household health outcomes with a focus on children and the elderly. She regularly collaborates with community agencies in participatory research projects and has received many engaged scholarship awards and high-impact teaching awards as she involves her students in these research projects. She has taught courses in Health Economics Research, Economics of Gender, and Microeconomics and has been a dedicated user of community service learning in her classroom. She has contributed to the Office of Faculty Affairs’ efforts around diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring at SF State and has led improvements around student success and equity gaps in the department and campus. Dr. Chaudhuri serves on the Boards of SF State’s University Corporation as well as a non-profit mental health agency, Richmond Area Multi-services or RAMS. She received the 2023-25 Lam Larsen Distinguished Service Professor award from the Lam Family College of Business for all her contributions to the campus and community, through her teaching, research, and service.
