TeachECONference now biannual

Announcement made in September 2024

As the world, and economics education, continues to evolve CTaLE is finding new ways to work with and to meet our community. You can find out more about our activities in our 2023/24 Annual Report.

We have a packed calendar of EconTEAching and Communities of Practice seminars throughout the year. We also value sharing our work at other conferences, including ASSACTREERES and EEA. Of course, as the place where we launched CTaLE in 2015, we are also regulars at the bi-annual Developments in Economics Education (DEE) conference run by our friends at the Economics Network.

Now that the world is returning to more in-person seminars and conferences we have reflected on the best way to take TeachECONference forward. With our co-organiser Doug McKee, we have decided to move the conference to a bi-annual model. This allows us and others to participate in other initiatives.

In the alternate years, we plan to run one-off events like our Stone Centre Workshop on Gen AI Use for Innovative and Diverse Economics Education (GUIDE) on June 10th 2025 (look out for more from us in the new year about this event!). Moving to every two years also means that we alternate with the Economics Network Developments in Economics Education conference which will take place in September 2025.

TeachECONference2026 will next run in summer 2026, and will be open to submissions in late 2025. Keep an eye out for further information and in the meantime please do join us at any of our other online events and come and say hi when you see us at other conferences!
